MABC Scholarships

Two Ways to Fund Your Degree

Both scholarships are for students in the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. Each is partial; the student is responsible for the remaining balance of tuition and fees.

Matching scholarship

Leadership in Counseling Matching Program

$1,000 per year in tuition assistance

Made possible through the generous support of FBS donors.

How the program works

If your local church or ministry agrees to pay $500 per year toward your tuition, FBS will match $500 from its scholarship fund. That means $1,000 per year in tuition assistance toward earning your degree. The FBS match is disbursed in $250 increments per semester; the student is responsible for the remaining balance of tuition and fees.

Restrictions and conditions for eligibility

  • Enrolled in at least 3 classes per calendar year
  • Personal or family income does not exceed $75,000 per year
  • Not already receiving tuition assistance from your church
  • Complete a short application, reviewed by the MABC scholarship committee
Availability and priority

LCMP scholarships are limited; FBS determines how many it can award each calendar year, so qualifying students may not receive one if funding is insufficient. Priority is based on financial need, with additional priority for students entering their first semester of classes, students from a church with an existing biblical counseling ministry, and matriculating students. Accepted MABC students are given directions in August for how to apply.

Restrictions and conditions for eligibility

  • Restricted to female students
  • Personal or family income does not exceed $75,000 per year
  • Take a minimum of two classes each calendar year and commit to regular enrollment with the goal of earning the MABC degree
  • Students not yet accepted into the MABC may apply; any award is pending acceptance into the program

Beyond Scholarships

Other Ways to Lower the Cost

FBS does not offer direct financial aid, but its pricing is built to keep students out of debt. These are not scholarships, but each one can lower what you pay.

M.Div. ministry rate: $2,000 per year

Full-time M.Div. students serving in a church internship or full-time ministry pay a flat $2,000 per year in tuition instead of $250 per credit hour.

Veterans benefits

FBS is a VA-recognized institution, and veterans benefits are accepted.

Transfer credit

Graduate-level coursework that closely matches an FBS course may transfer, up to 40% of the program, lowering both the cost and the time to finish.
